The self-regulating heating cable developed by Minco is widely used in fire protection,
petroleum, chemical industry, iron and steel, electric power and so on to
keeppipes, tanks warm and prevent frostbite, roof and gutter snow melting
.
There is a uniform core strip of
PTC material
between the two parallel metal busbars. When the two busbars at one end of the cable are connected to the power source, current flows laterally from one busbar through the PTC material layer to the other busbar. The PTC layer is a resistance heating body that is continuously connected in parallel between the busbars to convert electrical energy into heat. The core strip resistance increases with temperature, reaching about 65 degrees, the resistance is so large that it almost blocks the current, and the core strip temperature reaches the high limit and no longer rises but automatically limits the temperature. The self-limiting temperature heating belt has uniform temperature, does
not overheat
,
saves electric energy,
and has a
rapid heating
temperature. It can be arbitrarily cut and used within the longest use length of the electric heating belt, and can be overlapped and crossed.
The cable is designed for house water pipe and solar upper water pipe freeze protection requirement in winter, to maintain the water in pipes above 0 centigrade, and do not need a controller.
The cable is very easy to install, suit for metal and plastic water pipes.
We use the pure copper as the conductor, and the PE jacket, it`s durable, UV resist, better than PVC jacket.

NOTE:this cable is connected and sealed well, it`s water-proof, you can plug into 220V socket to use directly!!
1) Wrap the heating cable on water pipes or fastening straight on pipes, both are ok. Put the whole cable on the pipes and fasten it every 30~60cm with thermal tape or aluminum tape(sold in my store).
2) Suggest to wrap a layer of rubber insulation on the pipe, enhance efficiency of the heating cable and save energy, also can protect the heating cables.
3) Plug into 220~240V. The heat trace system is finished.
